TraderTalk is a community for predictions and discussion about Indian markets. It is not a brokerage, not an investment advisor, and not a substitute for either. This page is the most important one on the site. If you only read one, read this.
Nothing on TraderTalk is investment advice. No post, poll, comment, leaderboard, sentiment indicator, AI-generated explainer or chat-room message constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, commodity, derivative or other financial instrument.
What we are not
- We are not a SEBI-registered investment advisor (RIA).
- We are not a SEBI-registered research analyst (RA).
- We are not a stockbroker, sub-broker, or authorised person.
- We are not a portfolio manager or AIF.
- We are not a tipping service, telegram channel, or paid signal provider.
- We do not give individualised investment advice based on your financial situation, goals or risk profile.
What we are
A discussion and prediction platform. Users make virtual binary calls on market questions; the platform records who was right and ranks them. There is no money in, no money out. "Alpha" points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged.
Markets carry risk
Trading and investing in securities, commodities and derivatives involves substantial risk of loss. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Even a trader with a perfect TraderTalk record could be wrong on the next call. Backtests, paper-trading scores, and leaderboard performance do not reliably predict real trading outcomes. Real markets include slippage, taxation, broker fees, liquidity constraints, behavioural mistakes and execution risk that prediction platforms simply do not capture.
Before making any actual investment decision, please consult a SEBI-registered investment advisor and read the relevant scheme documents, prospectus and risk disclosures issued by SEBI / NSE / BSE / your broker.
Sources of information
Live prices and resolution data on TraderTalk come from third-party market-data providers. We make no guarantee of accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Data is provided on a best-effort basis. Where the feed is unavailable, ambiguous or contested, we may void a poll rather than risk an unfair resolution.
User-generated content
Posts, comments, polls, reactions and chat-room messages are contributed by individual users. They reflect the views of those users, not of CodeMingle. We don't verify the credentials, claims or trading records of any user, including users who self-identify as traders, advisors, or analysts. Always do your own research.
Do not solicit or share private financial data
Never share your bank account number, broker login, OTP, PAN, Aadhaar, or any credential through TraderTalk — including in DMs. We will never ask for them. If anyone on the platform asks for this kind of information, please report the user via the report flow and email abuse@tradertalk.in.
Tax and regulatory
TraderTalk does not generate any monetary income for users. Therefore no income, capital gains or business income arises from using TraderTalk. If you trade in actual markets based on what you read here, the tax and regulatory consequences of those trades are entirely your own responsibility.
Jurisdiction
TraderTalk is operated from India and intended for users in India. Use of the Service from other jurisdictions is at your own responsibility, and you must comply with the laws applicable to you.
Reporting concerns
If you believe a TraderTalk user is providing investment advice without registration, running a tipping service, or otherwise violating SEBI regulations, please report them via the in-app report flow and email abuse@tradertalk.in. We'll investigate and, where warranted, refer the matter to the appropriate regulator.
Bottom line
TraderTalk is a place to think about markets, build a public record of your reasoning, and learn from your hits and misses without risking real money. Treat it accordingly.
By using TraderTalk you acknowledge that you have read and understood this risk disclosure, that you are not relying on TraderTalk for investment advice, and that any trading decisions you make in real markets are entirely your own.
