Terms of use.

These terms govern your use of TraderTalk (the "Service"). TraderTalk is operated by CodeMingle ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law to use TraderTalk. By signing up, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

• One person, one account. Don't create multiple accounts to manipulate the leaderboard.
• Keep your sign-in email secure. Sign-in is passwordless via magic link, so anyone with access to your email can sign in as you.
• You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from settings.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use TraderTalk to:

• Post unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene or hateful content.
• Promote pump-and-dump schemes, market manipulation, insider trading or any unlawful financial activity.
• Impersonate any person or entity, including impersonating other TraderTalk users, finfluencers or brokerages.
• Solicit personal financial information from other users (account numbers, passwords, OTPs, etc.).
• Spam, scrape, or run automated tools against the Service without our written consent.
• Reverse-engineer, probe for vulnerabilities, or otherwise attack the Service.
• Upload malware or content that violates anyone else's intellectual property rights.
• Run paid advertising or solicit business directly from other users without disclosing it.
• Provide investment advice, tip services, or hold yourself out as a SEBI-registered advisor unless you actually are one and disclose your registration.

We may, at our sole discretion, remove content, mute, suspend or ban accounts that violate these rules. Where appropriate, we may report unlawful activity to authorities.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the posts, comments and other content you create on TraderTalk. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute and index that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content (subject to backups, see the privacy policy).

Don't post content you don't have the right to post.

5. Polls and the leaderboard

• Polls are virtual. There is no money in and no money out.
• "Alpha" (α) is a virtual point system. It has no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash or any goods, and cannot be transferred between accounts.
• We may adjust scoring rules, reset leaderboards, void polls, or correct errors at any time. We'll communicate material changes.
• Auto-resolution depends on third-party market data. If we cannot resolve a poll fairly (data outage, ambiguous outcome, market suspension), we may void it and award no points either way.
• Attempts to manipulate the leaderboard — coordinated voting, multiple accounts, exploiting bugs — will result in account suspension and a leaderboard reset for affected users.

6. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but make no guarantee. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We'll do our best to give notice for planned downtime.

7. Third-party content and links

TraderTalk displays user-generated content, market data from third-party providers, and may include links to external sites. We don't endorse third-party content and aren't responsible for its accuracy. Use your judgement.

8. Intellectual property

TraderTalk, the TraderTalk logo, the CodeMingle name and all software, designs and trademarks associated with the Service are owned by CodeMingle. You may not copy, modify or use them without our prior written consent, except as expressly permitted in these terms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that market data displayed is accurate or current.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither CodeMingle nor any of its officers, employees, agents or affiliates will be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or trading opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed ₹1,000.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold CodeMingle harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third party's rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for other lawful reasons. You may terminate your account at any time. Sections 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13 and 14 survive termination.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra. Before filing a legal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at legal@tradertalk.in and attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith for at least 30 days.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. For material changes, we'll notify signed-in users by email or in-app at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.
